A Photo ID check will ask you to provide a photo of a valid passport, driving licence or national identity card and photograph of yourself. You may be asked to include a unique number within the photograph of yourself as an extra security step.

You can complete a Photo ID check on your mobile device or on your desktop.
If you need to take photos of your ID document on your phone, we suggest opening the request from that device.

Getting Started

  1. Open your request email from your preferred device and select the Start your verification request link.
  2. Confirm that you have read the Amiqus ID terms and conditions.
  3. Ensure that the title and name information is accurate. If you see a spelling mistake in your name, you’ll need to report it. This will pause the check.
  4. Fill in your address and contact details.
  5. Choose the form of identity you would like to use for the check. You only need one form of identity to complete this check.

Accepted forms of identity are:

Passport, Driver’s Licence and National Identity Card

Your chosen form of ID must be valid on the date of completion.

For a passport: You will be required to upload a clear image of the photo page

Driver’s licence: You will be required to upload a clear image of the front and the back of your licence

National Identity Card: You will be required to upload a clear image of the front and the back of the identity card.

Uploading a scan of your document:

If you choose to upload a scan of your identity document, please ensure that it is in full colour and has a resolution between 72 - 300 dpi.

Desktop

You will be prompted to provide image(s) of your ID document and of your face for verification. You can upload straight from your desktop or opt to upload photos using your phone.

Uploading ID images from desktop

  1. Click the upload from desktop option.
  2. Select the image of your chosen ID from your documents and then click Open
  3. Check that the image is clear and that the edges of the document are visible.
  4.  If it is - click the confirm button on the bottom right. If you would like to select a different image, click redo on the bottom left.
  5. Repeat the same process with the back of your ID if required

Amiqus ID will then prompt you to submit a photograph of yourself.

If your desktop has a webcam, you may be asked to allow Amiqus ID access to it.

When using the webcam, ensure your face is clearly visible within the oval on screen and then select take photo

If you are asked to show a code in your image:

A unique code may be provided for you to include in the photograph of yourself. This provides an extra layer of security. In this instance, you would ensure that your face is clearly visible within the oval onscreen and the unique code is visible within the rectangle on the left hand side.

Tip: Your computer’s webcam may be set up to mirror the image, but when the photo is taken it should flip the right way around and make the code readable. You will see a preview before this is submitted.

If the image is clear, click confirm.

If you have any problems or have already taken a photo that clearly shows your face (as well as the unique code, if required), you can select the having problems? link below the webcam portal to upload a photo from your desktop.

You have now completed your Photo ID check. You will receive a confirmation via email.
