How do I complete this check

The Photo ID check can be completed either by using a smartphone, tablet or by scanning the document and uploading a file.  A driving license, passport or a national photo identity card can be used for over 140 countries. The document is checked for both validity and authenticity.

What happens to my image and information?

Your image and information are securely encrypted and uploaded for analysis by Onfido. We partner with them to undertake validation checks against the document you provide.

We check the security features of your document which include, data positions, signature, microprint, holograms and facial recognition check.

Once we have checked your information, we will only ever provide the outcome to the business requesting verification. By using the Amiqus ID service you are consenting to share your information with this business to access their products or services.

The business that referred you to Amiqus ID is required to undertake diligence and verification checks based on your identity. You should contact them directly if you would like to refer to their own privacy policy or terms.

How secure is the storage of my scanned information?

'End-to-End' encryption is applied to all information transmitted during document checking. This means that during all parts of the process, your details are encrypted and not shared with any unauthorised third party.

Onfido is PCI compliant. This is the highest level of certification provided when handling personal information and payment data.

Is digital verification a new requirement?

In the past, to begin a formal relationship with a business in a regulated industry, (banking, financial services or legal) you would have been required to physically present identity documents and financial statements in person.

We're undertaking this checking process on their behalf using technology to make the process more convenient and secure.

How is my information stored?

Your information is held according to the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 and Data Protection Act 2018 which is enforced by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and the Office for Professional Body Anti-Money Laundering Supervision (OPBAS).

Who stores this data and who has access to it?

Amiqus ID will never sell or share your information with any third parties whatsoever.

No one at Amiqus ID will have visible access to your identifiable personal logins or information, they remain encrypted both whilst in transport and at rest.

We will only ever provide your information to the business requesting verification. By using the Amiqus ID service you are consenting to share your information with this business to access their products or services.
